Manchester United management are split over the future of Eric Bailly.
The Independent says United staff are torn over whether or not the Ivorian is good enough to succeed at Old Trafford, amid strong speculation that they will bring in a big-name centre-back in the summer.
Bailly was hailed as the solution to United's defensive issues when Jose Mourinho made him his first signing for the club in a £30million deal in the summer of 2016.
But the former Villarreal man has suffered from fitness and form issues at Old Trafford, both under Mourinho and current interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 24-year-old was widely criticised for his display in a 3-2 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in August, while he was sent off in his first appearance under Solskjaer against Bournemouth in December.
