Sky Italia says Juve want to fund their summer market campaign with the sale of Gigi Buffon and are urging United and City to make their bids.
But United are looking elsewhere to find a replacement for Edwin van der Sar, while City remain confident in Joe Hart as their long-term No1.
Ironically, Juve's hopes of signing Dimitar Berbatov from United depend on them finding a buyer for Buffon.
