Man Utd make serious push for Camavinga as PSG distracted

Manchester United are ready to step in for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The Manchester Evening News says United will look to take advantage of Paris Saint-Germain's pursuit of Lionel Messi by stealing in and signing Eduardo Camavinga from under their nose.

After 21 years at the club, it has been announced that Messi will leave Barcelona this summer as La Liga financial restrictions have prevented him from signing a new deal at the Camp Nou.

Although the six-time Ballon d'Or winner denied any deal was agreed in an emotional farewell press conference, he appears to be edging closer to signing with PSG.

Combining Messi with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar may give PSG the best attack in football, but it may also give United a boost in the race for Camavinga.

United have already signed Jadon Sancho this summer and are on the verge of confirming the arrival of Raphael Varane, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still keen to add a new centre-midfielder to his ranks.
