Manchester United have made a bumper offer for Crystal Palace fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Sun says Old Trafford chiefs had tested the water with an offer believed to be in the region of £25m but this was dismissed out of hand by Eagles bosses who want more.

United then went back in with what Sky Sports have called "a substantial offer" to get the deal over the line.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Wan-Bissaka, Palace team-mate Patrick van Aanholt and Leicester's Harry Maguire in a treble swoop.

He is immediately targeting a defence which conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last term - the tenth worst in the division.

Highly-rated full-back Wan-Bissaka, 21, has three years left on his contract but the South Londoners could be tempted by a mega-money offer.
