Manchester United are talking with Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt's representatives.

The Dutchman wants to leave the Italian giants, while Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also after his signature.

According to BILD, United are the latest team to go in for de Ligt.

Their connection is through new manager Erik ten Hag, who worked with the 22-year-old Netherlands star before he moved to Juventus.

Juventus want €70 million for de Ligt, who is rated as one of the best young defenders in the world.

For their part, Chelsea believe they are favourites to land his signature.
