Manchester United goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara was delighted to make his international debut this week.
The 23-year-old, currently on loan at Burton Albion, came off the bench in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Bulgaria in Dublin.
"It's always an honour to represent your country," he said. "It's a big thing for me and I feel it's a good challenge because it helps me develop quicker. As a goalkeeper, you're learning new things in a new environment and it's a real positive for me.
"It's tough and a higher level but you get used to it. The more I play at that level, the more I am going to develop into a better goalkeeper, which is obviously what I want to become."
