Manchester United and Liverpool are scouting Bordeaux striker Malcom.

The Sun says the Bordeaux striker, 19, has been scouted by both teams but is under contract in Ligue 1 until 2020.

That is not likely to deter the two Premier League powerhouses, though, as both look to bolster their front lines for next year.

However, there could be a spanner in the works as Brazilian Malcom, who started his career at Corinthians, has made clear he wants to compete in the Champions League next season.

That is currently beyond United as they STILL sit sixth in the table despite Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford, with Liverpool a point ahead in the crucial fourth spot.
