Chelsea are pulling back from negotiations for Borussia Dortmund dazzler Jadon Sancho.
The Daily Express says Chelsea remain interested in signing Sancho in January but are unwilling to go as high as the £100m Borussia Dortmund have quoted them ahead of the winter transfer window.
Sancho, a boyhood Blues fan, is on Frank Lampard's wish list with the Chelsea boss being given cash to splash after the west Londoners' transfer ban was cut in half.
Sancho is - along with Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner - one of a number of forwards Chelsea are keen on buying in the new year.
However, they have decided to hold off pursuing a deal if Dortmund will not climb down from the whopping £100m valuation they have put on the 19-year-old's head.
Chelsea's stand over Sancho leaves the door open to rivals Manchester United and Liverpool to step in.
Both Northwest giants do not believe BVB are overpricing Sancho when demanding €100m to sell.
