Manchester United are being linked with a shock move for Inter Milan veteran Diego Godin.

The Red Devils tried and failed with several offers to sign the Uruguayan international during his days at Atletico Madrid.

But the 34-year-old decided to join Antonio Conte at the San Siro instead on a three-year deal.

The veteran centre-back has been used sparingly by Inter this campaign - making 16 of a possible 25 Serie A appearances and often being withdrawn before the 90-minute mark.
