Corriere della Sera says United are 'leading the race' to sign the 32-year-old as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his midfield options.
United are now interested and will compete with Inter Milan for his signature.
Fernando Felicevich has now travelled to Europe, primarily for talks with Inter Milan. The Italian newspaper believes Barcelona will sell, although they're said to be looking for €20m, whereas Inter only want to pay €15m.
A 32-year-old, who has been linked with United and also the majority of big clubs in Europe before, does not fit the profile of player Solskjaer is currently after.
