Man Utd link for Leicester boss Rodgers branded 'nonsense'

Leicester City are calm about Brendan Rodgers' commitment amid talk of interest from Manchester United.

The Sunday World says United have made no official approaches for Leicester manager Rodgers and are continuing to back manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for now.

Solskjaer is set to get all of his international players back at United's Carrington training ground on Wednesday ahead of this weekend's crucial game at Watford.

United then have a vital game against Villarreal in Spain next Tuesday before they take on current Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge the following Sunday.

After a disastrous run of results for Solskjaer's United that included the 5-0 home defeat against Liverpool and a comprehensive 2-0 defeat against Manchester City at Old Trafford in the final game before the international break, dramatic improvement is needed for Solskjaer to remain in his post beyond the end of this month.

Yet reports in the UK claiming Rodgers has already agreed to take over from Solskjaer has been dismissed as 'nonsense' by sources close to the situation.
