Manchester United are lining up a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Sun says United have finally found a replacement for Ander Herrera, now with PSG, in Zakaria.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won't hold back in spending cash this January with his side way off the pace in the race for a top four finish.

And reports in Germany suggest Zakaria is right at the top of his shortlist.

The 22-year-old joined the Bundesliga side two years ago for £8.7million and his since gone on to gain a reputation as one of the league's top prospects.

His asking price has rocketed to around £43m but it won't deter the Red Devils from joining fellow European clubs in vying for his signature.
