Paul Scholes believes Liverpool are capable of winning the Premier League title.

The Manchester United great made the revelation on BT Sport's coverage of United's 1-0 Europa League win over Zorya Luhansk on Thursday night.

Asked if Jurgen Klopp's Reds look like they can win the title, Scholes said: "They do to me.

"I was a little bit worried about them defensively but you have to say the attacking qualities they are showing at the minute, they look like they are going to score goals against anybody."

But after praising his mortal enemies, Scholes swiftly added: "I hope they don't."

Liverpool currently sit fourth on the league table with 13 points from six matches having scored 16 goals; 11 of which have come in the past three games.
