Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel led the tributes to Richard Moller Nielsen after news of his death at the age of 76 emerged.
Nielsen led Denmark to their unlikely win at the 1992 European Championship despite having little time to prepare for the tournament in neighbouring Sweden.
Schmeichel posted on Twitter: "Richard Moller Nielsen, an inspiration, my teacher and my friend. R.I.P my friend."
