Man Utd legend Neville runs gauntlet of beer throwing Man City fans

Manchester United legend Gary Neville was attacked by Manchester City fans at Brighton on Sunday.

Neville was targeted as City fans threw pints of beer at him outside Brighton's stadium.

The Sky Sports pundit, who played over 400 times for the Red Devils, was at the Amex Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season to co-commentate on City's 4-1 win over The Seagulls which saw Pep Guardiola's side crowned champions.

Footage captured on social media showed Neville being surrounded by hostile fans, with some throwing their drinks at the former England international.

After one pint of beer appeared to make contact with Neville's shoulder, the video showed supporters repeatedly telling the retired right-back to "f*** off" as he was forced to duck a second drink that was launched at his head.
