Manchester United legend Gary Neville admits he is confused about the exclusion of Donny van de Beek.
United signed the Dutchman from Ajax in the summer for a hefty fee.
While he has made some impressive cameos, he did not get a chance to show his quality against Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea in the past week.
United beat PSG 2-1, but only managed a 0-0 home draw with Chelsea.
"What is a little bit of a mystery is the use of van de Beek since being signed for £40m," Neville said on Sky Sports.
"He doesn't seem to be at the forefront of Ole's plans in every game. It's a bit of a mystery, that one.
"The more he doesn't start, the more he doesn't come on, well, a £40m-player, ordinarily, you get him into the team.
"He must be thinking, 'What am I doing here?' at this moment in time."
