Man Utd legend Keane club desire supported by Ireland boss O'Neill

Roy Keane is able to leave his role as Republic of Ireland assistant if he gets a club offer.

The former Manchester United captain has always said he could be tempted back to club football with a head coach job.

And his boss Martin O'Neill knows that is a possibility. He would let Keane leave with his blessing if such a scenario popped up.

"There's always been a possibility of Roy doing that," said O'Neill to the Daily Mirror.

"It's fine whatever he does as long as the FAI are happy with that if the case comes up."

Keane himself has not suggested he is inkling for a club job. He signed an extension to his Ireland contract in January.
