Manchester United legend Roy Keane is set to be interviewed for the vacant Sunderland job.
Lee Johnson walked away from the position after an embarrassing 6-0 loss to Bolton last week.
The Daily Mail claims Keane is being linked with a return to the Black Cats, who he led to Premier League promotion in 2007.
The former United captain has not been a manager since leaving Ipswich Town in 2011.
But after assistant stints with Aston Villa, the Republic of Ireland and Nottingham Forest, Keane wants to get back into the dugout.
