Manchester United legend Gary Neville is yet to be convinced by Fred.
Despite arriving with a reputation as one of the up and coming stars in world football, the 26-year-old has struggled to nail down a place in United's starting line-up, and Neville is struggling to see what type of midfielder he is.
“I'm not sure [on Fred]," Neville told Sky Sports during United's 1-1 with Arsenal on Monday niight.
"I've not seen anything of him in the 12 months he's been here to justify the price tag.
“There's been flashes, he played a really good game away at PSG in the Champions League, he takes the ball, he's tidy on it, but I don't see a goalscorer, a defensive midfielder, a runner, so I'm not quite sure what I do see.
"For £60m, you'd like to fit into one of those categories."
