Manchester United legend Andy Cole feels David Moyes' time in charge was always destined to fail.
Citing the brand of football Moyes implemented, Cole reckons the ex-Everton boss was on a hiding to nothing.
"I think they made their mind up geared on results and performances," Cole told the Daily Express.
"They went from playing one way and winning to playing another way and losing, not playing attractive football, that doesn't make anyone happy.
"The fans have watched Sir Alex Ferguson do it for 20 odd years, playing a certain brand of football and winning.
"If Moyes had got the results it would have been different. But not getting results and people not liking the way you play football is always going to be a recipe for disaster."
