Man Utd leave it late against Sunderland

Another match at Old Trafford and another period of added time enabled Manchester United to grab a 2-2 draw against visitors Sunderland. Twice the Black Cays took the lead at Old Trafford and twice Manchester United pegged them back, with the equaliser arriving in the second minute of added time.

Sunderland will understandably feel aggrieved that their performance did not bag all three points against a below par United.

Darren Bent gave the visitors an early lead as United struggled to impose themselves in a lacklustre first forty five minutes.

Dimitar Berbatov levelled with a bicycle kick just after the break before Kenwyne Jones quickly responded nodding Sunderland back in front.

Kieran Richardson was then sent off with five minutes remaining for a second bookable offence before the unfortunate Anton Ferdinand diverted in Patrice Evra's shot to hand United an unlikely point.
