Manchester United are counting on the agent of Bruno Fernandes to convince Sporting CP to do business over the midfielder.
O Jogo says another day of negotiations have brought the two teams closer together with a difference of €10m now existing between the parties.
United have offered €50m up front with another €10m due in bonuses, while Sporting president Frederico Varandas insists he will only sell for a firm €60m cash bid.
However, Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho will meet with Varandas today in an attempt to convince him to drop his demands, reminding the president the loyalty the player has shown Sporting over the past 18 months.
