Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is on his way to Preston North End.

The Telegraph says Johnstone is set to complete a season-long loan move to Preston North End following the end of the club's tour of the United States.

Johnstone, 22, replaced David de Gea as a half-time substitute during United's 2-0 International Champions Cup defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in Chicago on Wednesday night.

The Preston-born youngster appeared in each of United's four games on tour.
