Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira has completed his loan spell with Rochdale.

Castro Pereira, 19, joined Dale in October on a one month loan deal.

He made one appearance for Keith Hill's side, who are currently occupying 14th place in League One.

"We can confirm that Joel Castro Pereira has returned to Manchester United following the conclusion of his loan spell at Rochdale Football Club," a statement on the club's website said.

"The 19-year-old goalkeeper had penned a one month loan deal at the club, which has now come to an end.

"Castro Pereira made one appearance for Dale during his time at Spotland, playing the full 90 minutes in the side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Quarter Final tie against Morecambe."
