Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea didn't hold back after their 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool.

De Gea has been in sensational form this year but could do little to halt Liverpool's impressive four-goal blitz in the first half.

But he was brutally honest in the wake of their mauling as he sympathised with United fans.

"We played like kids," confessed the Spaniard after the match.

He later went on to address fans on his Instagram account, stating: "I feel the pain of our supporters, you give the team everything and we must do the same. I love this club and we will not accept this performance."
