Man Utd keeper De Gea: Chelsea draw will give us confidence

David De Gea thinks Manchester United will take plenty of confidence from Sunday's draw with Chelsea.

After stunning loses to Liverpool and Watford in recent weeks, the Red Devils were able to clinch a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

And De Gea believes his teammates will take some momentum into Thursday's clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

"I think for us a point is never enough," De Gea told MUTV.

"But in the situation that we are in - a difficult situation - I think they had very good chances, but we have a point, the team fought for the point so I'm proud of the players. We were very compact, and very determined as a team, so I'm happy with the performance."

He added to other media outlets: "I think the spirit of the team was great, the fight, the determination, the desire - it was great.

"That should give us more confidence to win big games and to see again the team playing properly, scoring goals and winning points.

"We knew we had to not concede for at least the first 20-25 minutes. We defended quite well; aggressive. The players gave everything and it was good to see the players running all over the place, trying to play and trying to fight for the club."
