Manchester United are reportedly targeting Inter Milan attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The 26-year old has been electric during Holland's faultless World Cup campaign to date and Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be contemplating a £35million offer for the star.
It has been reported that Ferguson sees Sneijder as a long-term replacement for veteran Paul Scholes and wants to link him up with Wayne Rooney to form a frightening attack at Old Trafford.
Sneijder moved to the San Siro just a year ago from Real Madrid so that may make life difficult for Ferguson but speculation suggests that the Scottish tactician is definitely considering pursuing the former Ajax man.
