Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants Joel Pereira to leave on-loan.

The 20-year-old was a regular for United's Under-21 side last season and was also named on the first-team bench for the 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League.

But with David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Sam Johnstone all ahead of Pereira in the pecking order he is set for a temporary switch away from Old Trafford, the Daily Mail says.

The Portuguese keeper has been told that he would benefit from gaining first team experience elsewhere.

Last season Pereira had a brief spell on loan at League One side Rochdale.
