Manchester United are joining the Bosman battle for Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger.
The Independent says United could move for Rudiger.
The Germany international will be out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from some of the top clubs from across Europe.
Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have all reportedly shown interest in the defender and United are now said to have joined the chase.
But United's chances appear slim, with the report adding that Rudiger himself "would prefer to move abroad if new terms cannot be agreed with Chelsea".
