Man Utd join Chelsea interest for Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule

Manchester United are joining Chelsea in their interest for Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule.

The Daily Express says Sule has fallen out of favour under coach Hans-Dieter Flick and looks set to leave at the end of the season.

The Germany international will see his contract expire in 2022 and there are no plans to renew at the moment.

That means Bayern would happily sell if they can negotiate a good price with another club, as they did with Thiago Alcantara and Liverpool last year.

Sule is a monster of a defender, standing 6ft4, but is astonishingly quick for his size - behind Alphonso Davies as the fastest player at the club.

At a reported €30m (£26m), the 25-year-old is being considered by United and Chelsea.
