Man Utd inviting offers for Martial, Spurs keen

Manchester United are inviting offers for Anthony Martial.

The Daily Star says United are prepared to sell Martial now that they've landed Jadon Sancho.

The French forward has failed to hit the heights expected of him when United beat off competition to agree a £58million deal with Monaco back in 2015.

He is contracted to United until 2024, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now willing to listen to offers, with Tottenham interested in a move.

United value Martial at around £50million, but could struggle to offload him due to his hefty £250,000-per-week salary.

It is thought Solskjaer is planning to launch a strong bid to sign Erling Haaland when his release clause comes into play next season, and shifting Martial off the wage bill for a fee in return would be a timely boost for United's finances.

Edinson Cavani is also likely to depart next summer, meaning there is no pressure on Solskjaer to offload Martial, but with Sancho now providing further competition for places, chances are going to be limited.
