Manchester United have informed AS Roma what they want to sell Chris Smalling.
This week, Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi made a €10m offer for the on-loan defender - which was turned down by United.
Corriere dello Sport says United, however, is prepared to sell Smalling.
Petrachi was told it will take €18m to buy him outright. However, Roma are reluctant to go higher than €12m.
The Giallorossi have already coughed up €3m for Smalling's 12 month loan.
