Manchester United have informed Inter Milan they can keep hold of Alexis Sanchez next season.

While it's been claimed United were demanding a sale of the Chile international, Sport Mediaset says they've assured Inter the striker can spend another season on-loan with them.

The Nerazzurri have welcomed the news, with coach Antonio Conte eager to hang onto Alexis.

Indeed just last week, Inter director Piero Ausilio stated: “We aim to keep everyone, including Alexis Sanchez.

“He had done very well before the injury, I think of the matches against Barcelona and Sampdoria. He reminded me of the best seasons in Udine and with Arsenal.

“The he was unfortunate, but it can turn into an opportunity for him, this forced break, for him to show his value."
