Man Utd inform Dalot of major transfer call

Manchester United don't wish to lose Diogo Dalot this summer.

The Manchester Evening News says United have told Dalot they want him to return to the club despite AC Milan's interest in re-signing the right-back.

Milan have proposed to sign Dalot on another season-long loan with an option to buy, but United currently have no intention of negotiating for the Portuguese and informed him to report for pre-season training next month.

United are interested in signing Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier but that deal is in jeopardy as Atletico hold out for a higher fee.

Even though Dalot only appeared in 11 games for United in 2019-20, sources close to the player say he loves the club and will not demand a transfer.
