Manchester United have opened talks this week with AS Monaco for teen prospect Hannibal Mejbri.
The Daily Mail says the talented midfielder only turned 16 earlier this month and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects emerging from France.
Monaco only secured him to a contract last year after signing him from Paris FC and heading off interest from United and Manchester City.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Lyon and Barcelona had also approached his family.
However, United have not given up and are still keen to take the youngster. Mejbri is yet to play for the Monaco first-team but is developing rapidly.
