Man Utd hero Neville still backing top-four finish

Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes the team will finish in the top four.

The Red Devils have a nervy three games to come as they drew 2-2 with Southampton and blew a chance to go third in the Premier League.

They are now in a position where they must win all three games to keep matters in their own hands, or hope Chelsea or Leicester City drop more points.

"I would have put Manchester United well in front if that hadn't happened in the last minute just because of the fact that they are in great form," Neville explained in the latest episode of his Sky Sports' podcast.

"They have got Crystal Palace on Thursday who seem like they have switched off. I was at the Chelsea game a couple of weeks ago and they played quite well but they have had disappointing games in and around that.

"Chelsea have got Norwich City tonight and you would expect them to do the job. But Leicester have got some tough games. Leicester have Tottenham on Sunday and Sheffield United before that, with United on the final day.

"You would say at this moment in time Manchester United and Chelsea are still favourites. But that result against Southampton will just put a seed of doubt in their minds that wasn't there before."

Neville added: "I think Wolves and Sheffield United are too far off. I just can't see the three above them making the mistakes that they would need to jump up."
