Manchester United hero Mark Hughes admits signing for Chelsea was a boyhood dream come true.

As a player, Hughes was synonymous with the success of Manchester United.

But he revealed to Chelsea Magazine: "A lot of my mates, all the same age, supported them and I think it's safe to say there's a lot of Chelsea fans because of the 1970 FA Cup final.

"They were my first team and I know when I signed for Chelsea all my mates from Wrexham were delighted. I saw a lot more of them when I was a Chelsea player than I did when I was at Man United, so that was good."
