Man Utd have fingers crossed on Giggs injury

Manchester United are hoping that the arm injury sustained by Ryan Giggs in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Wednesday night is not too bad.

The veteran Welshman was injured in a clash with Villa's Steve Sidwell and was forced from the pitch before leaving the stadium with his arm in a sling.

He was then sent for X-rays and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had his fingers crossed.

"We have sent Ryan for an X-ray to see if there is any damage," said Ferguson.

"It is very painful but hopefully he is going to be all right."
