Newcastle United academy graduate Paul Woolston is set to go through a trial with Manchester United.
The 20-year-old was not given a contract by Newcastle in the summer.
But it appears United are after another reserve goalkeeper, giving Woolston a chance to continue his football education, per Chronicle Live.
Woolston is highly rated as a shot stopper and passer from the back. But many coaches find him too small at 6ft.
If he has a positive trial at United, he would compete with Matej Kovar and Alex Fojticek.
