Manchester United great Bryan Robson has likened Bruno Fernandes to Paul Scholes.

Fernandes has made an instant impact since his January arrival from Sporting CP.

Robson says: “No question, he's the modern day Paul Scholes.

“He's brilliant at finding little pockets of space.

“Then he's got the same vision to hit those great balls that Scholesy used to hit — and he's also got a goal in his locker."

Robson, who played over 400 times for United, also believes manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be applauded for his work before the season halted.

He said: “Ole's lads were on an 11–game unbeaten run.

“You can see that he's improved the atmosphere."
