David Beckham admits it gave him great pleasure in seeing the reaction from Marcus Rashford on the weekend.
The 18-year-old striker netted the only goal of Manchester United's narrow derby win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday with a fine finish in the 16th minute.
Manchester-born Rashford celebrated with unbridled joy which prompted Red Devils legend Beckham to post a photo of the talented youngster on his Instagram account, with the accompanying message:
“When a young kid loves the club he is at and loves the game he is playing, this is what you get.
"The excitement in Marcus's face after scoring against our rivals is exactly what a kid his age should look like. It's refreshing to see. Congrats to Marcus on another great day for @ManchesterUnited."
