Manchester United are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel according to reports.
With the future of Rafael in doubt, it is clear that United require a new right-back this summer and various reports have linked the Red Devils with a move for Southampton star Nathaniel Clyne.
However, United have also set up contingency plans if their pursuit of Clyne does indeed fail and now according to reports from the Metro, manager Louis van Gaal is considering a move for the 27-year old PSG defender.
Van der Wiel is set to be offloaded by the French champions at the end of the season and United could land the Dutchman for a fee of around £9million.
