Manchester United are seriously considering a move for Lille sports chief Luis Campos.
Canal Plus says Campos, 56, was a manager for 20 years before becoming a scout for a brief period for Real Madrid.
He first took up a position as director of football at Monaco in 2013 and made a move to join Lille in 2017.
Campos is widely regarded as one of the most canny operators about, and United are looking to take advantage of the Portuguese chief's itchy feet to tempt him to Old Trafford.
Campos is reportedly attempting to leave Lille after having been involved in a conflict with director Marc Ingla recently.
Tottenham were linked with a move for Campos over the summer but in the end nothing materialised, while Serie A side Roma are also thought to be monitoring his situation to see how things play out at Lille.
