Manchester United defender Luke Shaw praised the leadership of Paul Pogba after his side's latest win.

United emerged from their first Champions League game of the season with a 3-0 win in Switzerland over Young Boys.

Paul Pogba scored two goals, netting a curler from the edge of the box and converting a penalty for his side. He also nabbed the assist for Anthony Martial's third goal.

Shaw spoke about Pogba with BT Sport: "He gets some stick sometimes but we know what quality he has.

"For me, he is one of the best in the world. He is important as captain. He shows on the pitch what kind of leader he is.

"Hopefully he can carry that on."
