Manchester United have reached a breakthrough in negotiations for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.
The Telegraph says United have now made a breakthrough over their stalemate regarding agents' fees and Sancho's personal terms.
United have been frustrated by the use of intermediaries such as Marco Lichsteiner conveying both Sancho and Dortmund's demands in talks.
They are now said to have reached an agreement over fees and the structure of a deal for Sancho. However, the major lingering issue remains a roadblock to the deal.
Borussia Dortmund are still holding out for their full valuation of Sancho and are unwilling to sell for less than £100million.
United, on the other hand, are looking to pay no more than £80million and structure a deal with bonuses and add-ons rather than paying the full fee up front.
