Manchester United fans are turning to American know-how to help in their campaign to force out club owners, the Glazers.
The Times says Blue State Digital (BSD), the widely respected Washington-based internet strategy and technology firm, has been enlisted by the Manchester United Supporters' Trust (MUST) in the fight to wrest control of the Barclays Premier League champions away from the unpopular Americans.
Best known as the architects behind my.barackobama.com, the groundbreaking online campaign that culminated in the election of Barack Obama, BSD will be charged with increasing support for the "Green and Gold" campaign among United's 333 million followers worldwide.
