Manchester United face a longer wait to see Raphael Varane put pen to paper on his contract.
The Telegraph says Varane has not yet arrived in the country because he is waiting on a visa in order to complete his move.
He will also need to quarantine after touching down in Manchester before he is able to thrash out the formalities of his impending switch.
The Frenchman is yet to undergo a medical or sign on the dotted line, with his unveiling now likely to be placed on hold until next week.
The situation will deal a blow to United's pre-season plans, with Varane now unable to feature in their final warm-up match against Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
