Manchester United face a battle convincing Donny van de Beek to leave Ajax this month.
The Mirror says United are weighing up a £50million January switch for Van de Beek, who has eight goals and eight assists in 26 games so far this term.
But in October, Van de Beek told Voetbal International: “I don't want to leave during the winter break.
“I will play here all season, [and] I finish at Ajax this year.
"That gives me clarity and tranquillity. I will see what happens next.
“Maybe someday in my career it will happen that I switch clubs during the winter break, but now I don't like it."
