Man Utd experience is 'out of this world' - Riley

Joe Riley has revealed that the debut for Manchester United was an 'out of this world' experience for him.

Riley made his first ever appearance for the United first team after coming on as a substitute for fellow academy graduate Cameron Borthwick-Jackson in their 3-0 victory over Shrewsbury in the 5th Round of the FA Cup on Monday night.

The youngster was understandably left delighted at achieving such a landmark and stated that making his debut for the Red Devils was an enormous thrill.

He told the club's official website: "It [the past week] has been a great experience for me - out of this world. I'm learning so much from the players who are all top lads.

"My mum and my sister have always said that they would come to my first game, but they didn't travel to Denmark because it's a bit too far. They were here tonight though and it was a really proud moment for me and for my family too.

"I was told to play my game because that is what has got me to the first team, so I did that and took it in my stride. I enjoyed it.

"Obviously [I now want play more], but I just need to keep doing what I'm doing, keep pushing as hard as I can and see where the manager takes me."
