Man Utd, Everton helping fund Rooney DC United move

Three clubs will assist DC United in their deal for Everton attacker Wayne Rooney.

The Sun says the Manchester United are still subsidising the striker's Everton wages to the tune of £10million a year after he moved on last season.

Everton will have to add to that if they want to shift him on to current suitors DC United.

The Americans are willing to offer £3m a year and are governed by a strict wage cap system in the MLS.

And the 32-year-old is on closer to £15million a year - meaning between them DC United, Manchester United and Everton must stump up the cash to make the deal viable to Rooney.

Rooney himself wants the uncertainty over Sam Allardyce's Everton future to be resolved before he decides his own.
